PizzaTuesday
PizzaTuesday goes East
Fashionable as the Shoreditch hotspot Pizza East may be, PizzaTuesday is too preoccupied with the style and accessories of its sourdough pizzas to notice. The crust, with its charred, blistered and bubbly cornicione (outer rim), is crisp to the core, yet compresses exquisitely to the chew.
The PizzaTuesday tasting dinner at Pizza East will begin with an assortment of salume and cheeses – a prelude to a sampling of Pizza East’s 4 most distinctive pizzas . Without revealing the delicious details, youngandfoodish promises you will leave intimated acquainted with the veal meatball pizza and the hot cinnamon sugar doughnuts with Valrhona chocolate.
The £30 cost for this exclusive yet very informal pizza dinner and discussion includes a drink, a surprise or two and enough firsthand information to decide for yourself if the Pizza East style measures up to – and possible surpasses – the best pizzas in London. Space is limited. Book now.
what is PizzaTuesday?
With the PizzaTuesday series, youngandfoodish elevates the London pizza experience though a series of informal tastings, demos and discussions at London’s most distinctive pizzerias. Participants get a closeup view of the pizza ovens and the expert pizzaioli who operate them, learn about pizza from the experts and share their observations with a nice group of people.
There is, however, an ulterior motive: by assembling groups of passionate eaters, no one is limited to trying 1 or 2 varieties. Pizza is best played as a team sport.
You don’t have to be a pizza obsessive to attend a PizzaTuesday but you do risk becoming one if you do.
