For this four-course, one-off pop-up dinner celebrating the food of Sicily, Giorgio Locatelli will cross the tracks from Locanda Locatelli, his Michelin-starred restaurant, to a Grays Inn greasy spoon.

At Andrew’s Cafe he’ll transform SpagWednesday into #BusiateWednesday or, for short, #BusWednesday, by tossing busiate, the fresh spaghettoni with a hole down the center that has become a queen of Sicilian gastronomy, with a rustic regional pesto of cherry tomatoes, almonds, basil and garlic. This classic is amongst the simple combinations of beautiful ingredients approached by Locatelli with great affection in Made In Sicily, his new book.

The pasta course will be followed by Locatelli’s interpretation of Sicilian braciolette di pesce spada (“swordfish rolls”) and, for dessert, his deconstruction of traditional cassata.

The #SpagWednesday, er, #BusWednesday Pop-Up will divided into 4 overlapping sittings. Each will last about 2 hours.

Locatelli will be happy to sign copies of his new book.
