About
– Daniel Young, Mr Young & Foodish
Daniel Young is the London-based pop-up and pop-in pioneer behind youngandfoodish.com and the author of Where To Eat Pizza, the Bistros, Brasseries and Wine Bars of Paris, Coffee Love, Made in Marseille and The Paris Café Cookbook.
With everything he does, from exclusive pizza tours in Naples to food festivals in London to food consultancy projects in New York and around the world, Daniel follows the same two-prong strategy:
- Find great things to eat.
- Share them with you in imaginative ways.
His selective pursuit of the food classics we love most inspire everything Young & Foodish: The events. The blog. The community of food obsessives like yourself.
His discoveries have formed the basis of five cookbooks, three restaurant guides; dozens of magazine articles; and 100s of newspaper restaurant reviews. From 1996-2000 he was restaurant critic of the New York Daily News. He has written about food for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Times of London, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, the Evening Standard, Conde Nast Traveler and Bon Appetite Magazine. He was named Online Writer of the Year at the 2013 Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards.
As a guest speaker Daniel has headlined dining and tasting events in London, Paris, Marseille, Toronto, Montréal, New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Naples (Italy), Milan, Yountville (Napa Valley), Miami Beach, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.
