I'm a fan of Alexis (and Burger Monday) but unfortunately my partner & I were somewhat underwhelmed on the night. The starter was such that I can't now actually recall it, other than a faint echo of disappointment, the burger (well, mine at least) was no more than ok as cooked to medium well, the half a dozen fries per portion seemed somewhat mean-spirited, and the desert was a profiterole reminiscent of Greigs - not what you expected from a Michelin starred chef, even if it was a 'budget' night from his point of view. All that said, I still enjoyed the evening, and will no doubt be back for another - if we can book before all sold out.
