Janet – It seems you are not alone: filter coffee is making a comeback. Notes Music & Coffee, the coffee shop featured here, brews superb filter coffee – what you call regular coffee – using pour-over and syphon coffee makers. There are several other London coffee shops that take their regular coffee very seriously, too. I wouldn’t know where to find something comparable in your area of Scotland. Maybe someone else will know.

I’m tired of not being able to get just a cup of coffee in a restaurant here. Why do I always have to order a latte or cappuccino? Starbuck’s is nice but where can I get a good ol’ cup of Joe? LOL Besides my house that is!
