As a regular customer, I felt the service levels were really slipping to a point where you were lucky if you were served, much less in a timely manner. Most of the time it seemed that staff had their own agenda, particularly the late-night staff. I didn’t mind the lackadaisical treatment so much generally, but when I was in a hurry and the woman behind the counter was engaged in a social catch-up with a couple ahead of me for what seemed like several minutes, I had no choice but to move on. I’ve had a few other friends who frequented the nearby pubs who complained of similar issues.

It’s become a French café now, which I haven’t yet been to. Now the only place to go if you want pizza by the slice nearby is… what, Voodoo Ray’s in Dalston? Meh.

Always thought their weighed pizza by the slice approach seriously impeded their appeal. They never really tapped into the lucrative delivery market properly and their website was always a bit of a shambles. I went in there on a Friday night and there was a relatively small queue and the counter service system was falling apart at the seams. Lovely staff though.

Such a shame because their pizzas were ace. Sad day indeed ;(

I ate at Datte Foco once as I was passing by and enjoyed it quite a bit, but with so many choices in the Stoke Newington area, perhaps it would have been a good idea to at least try to appeal to the pram crowd that dominates the market they opened their business in.
